Contest Rules

1. Applicability & Override

These rules are Specific Contest Rules that apply solely to the Boat & Trailer Contest.  Where there is a conflict with the General Contest Rules of the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby, these Specific Contest Rules prevail.

2. Prize Description

One (1) 2026 Princecraft Yukon 14L Boat & Trailer, generously donated by Rond’s Marine, with an approximate retail value of over $10,000, will be awarded.

3. Eligibility

To be eligible to win this prize, participants must:

  • Hold a valid Adult Derby Entry Ticket

  • Purchase a valid Adult 2nd Hole Ticket

  • Be 16 years of age or older at the time of ticket purchase

    • Notwithstanding Section 2.1 of the General Contest Rules, the age of majority requirement does not apply; participants 16+ may purchase Adult tickets for eligibility.

  • Ensure all tickets are issued in the participant’s own name

  • Be checked in on Derby Day

  • Be present at the time of the draw

  • Meet the Derby’s definition of an Adult participant

Important Restrictions:

  • Youth participants are not eligible to win the Boat & Trailer prize and may not purchase an Adult ticket for the purpose of prize eligibility. Any attempt to do so will result in disqualification.

  • Participants may not angle using tickets purchased in the name of another individual.

Note: This Contest requires the purchase of an Adult 2nd Hole Ticket. The no purchase necessary provision in the General Contest Rules does not apply to this Contest.

4. How to Enter

  • Each Adult 2nd Hole Ticket constitutes one (1) entry into the draw.

  • A 2nd Hole ticket must be purchased in conjunction with a valid Adult Derby Entry Ticket.

  • A maximum of 500 Adult 2nd Hole Tickets will be sold. Once sold out, no additional entries will be available.

  • To purchase tickets, visit Ticket Tailor or other official Derby outlets.

5. Draw Details

  • The random draw will take place at approximately 4:30 PM on Derby Day, just prior to the awarding of the First Place Cash prize.

  • The winning ticket will be drawn at random from all eligible Adult 2nd Hole ticket holders.

  • The selected winner must be present at the time of the draw.

  • If the selected winner is not present, fails to meet eligibility, or cannot provide valid identification, the prize will be forfeited and another ticket will be drawn.

6. Claiming the Prize

  • Proof of identity must be provided upon request.

  • The prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be exchanged for cash.

  • The Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby Committee reserves the right to verify eligibility and disqualify any participant who does not comply with these rules.

7. General Conditions

  • This prize is non-transferable.

  • All decisions of the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby regarding this Contest are final and binding.

  • By entering, participants agree to abide by all Derby Rules, the Manitoba Anglers Guide, and applicable laws.

  • The Committee reserves the right to amend these rules, substitute prizes, or modify the Contest at its discretion.

8. Sponsor Recognition

  • Rond’s Marine is the prize donor only and is not responsible for contest administration, ticket sales, or draw execution.

  1. Adult tickets can be purchased by participants 16 years of age and older.
