We are asking for the community's help following the theft of more than $20,000 worth of prizes and equipment collected for the upcoming Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby.

Lac du Bonnet RCMP began investigating the theft on September 11, 2026, after a storage trailer at the municipal public works yard on Leslie Avenue was broken into.

The stolen items include fishing equipment, ice shelters, augers, tackle, outdoor equipment, tools and other prizes intended for the upcoming derby.
